Smithtown fishing charter.
30 minutes east — Smithtown Bay to the west, Middle Grounds close by.
Captain Skippy Charters is the Smithtown-area private fishing charter — about a 30-minute drive east from Smithtown to our dock at Mount Sinai Marina, with fast access to the fishing grounds of the central Long Island Sound. Private-only, 1–4 anglers, all tackle and bait included.
Where we fish from Smithtown
Smithtown Bay is just to the west of Mount Sinai Harbor — sand flats, rip lines and structure that hold striped bass and bluefish through the summer. When you book from Smithtown, we can also work Crane Neck and the Middle Grounds to the west, or run east to the Rocky Point and Shoreham shoals for fluke and porgies. Trip choice depends on tide, weather and the recent bite — we call it before we leave the dock.
Good for groups, family days and special trips
Bachelor parties, birthdays, corporate outings, and family days out of the Smithtown area are staples for us. The Christina M II is set up for 1–4 anglers with real fishing room, a heated cabin, a functioning head, and a Minn Kota trolling motor for holding tight on structure when the wind picks up. See the Special Requests section for custom trip ideas.
